News wall paper

I woke up just some minutes ago and “ideed” (I fouled an idea). Have spent the last six months redecorating a newly bought flat. All the wall papers are bought, but I realized our built-in wardrobes lost any appeal they might have had.

With some decoupage techniques I’ve got, I want to glue newspapers on the doors and get them a bit lively. Googling around I found that there are some ready newspapers-patterned wall papers, they are quite mechanic with a little news repeating on an on.

My idea was thus, to start gathering in some way newspapers from all over the world, with local news from different countries, in different languages, and with advertisements in.

I want this news corner to be unique and meaningful. That would make my bedroom news collection/collage to have a personality, and some news that were selected and had some meaning to those who sent me them.

How to do that?

Social media, dear reader. That is how it has to be done. So, if you read this post so far, and are willing to send me a sheet of newspaper from your city-tow, I would be really thankful. I intend also to refund you with costs for sending it by snail-mail.

Salvation Form

e a bunch of religions in my immediate world who sure have got the truth into their everyday beliefs. I myself have been member to some of them. But no care to myself, I am doomed to some hell, because I give people attention. And they preach me.

As the collective wisdom says, you cannot stand with a foot on two boats. By that we have that many religions are mutually exclusive: Either Christian, Muslim or Jewish, Mormon etc.

But many of the religions work in gathering souls and redeeming them from hell or the eternal fury. Here it comes. You, reader are innocent till someone preach you the salvation – from that moment on, you are doomed . No rescue. No salvation or prayer will help you if you do not convert your life to the religion you are learning about.

In this multicultural interlinked world, soon or later you will get to know some people showing you the path to salvation and if you deny, you are lost. And if you get to know more than one, then what will  you do?

I have a plan to save all you who have not being preached on before. It is a form, that have to be signed by you in order to authorize people to preach to you and give you salvation. Otherwise, you cannot be taught about any religion at all. One form to each missionary.

That will make people to be obligated to ask before saving you. If they do so, and you are already saved from one side, you will sure be doomed by the new one – or the former, if you give it up and chose the newly taught religion.

No one can guarantee which truth is for real, or which hell is the hottest one!

Please, do not ask me how!!! – I shall work this idea my way Nobel Peace Prize – but before I get there, please, do not open your doors on weekend mornings, neither accept brochures or books, nor eavesdrop any worship/ church service. It is the easier way to keep innocent and avoiding the “hells”.

Stiod Quote: Selma Lagerlöv

After four years I love the one who loves me, I don’t care about churche’s boundaries and after one month without blogging, I feel like that:

“O God, when honor is dumb, and misjudgment speaks, give me back misjudgment! When happiness is dumb, but sorrow speaks, give me back sorrow!” (Selma Lagerlöf, *The fallen king*)

That means: a great suffer, who wants to hide their own sorrow is a better poet than those who have perfec welbeing, are happy with their status and so on. Am I so? I ask myself this very moment? Am I happy? Are all my desires fulfilled?

Come on, reader… Not at all! I do have tons of ideas and things to write about. I just did not want to be nagging (spell?) or whatever else. But Lagerlöf’s short story’s last paragraphf makes believe that suffering is great. So, today’s stiod is a suffer faker. The week you do not know what to write about, cheer for the team which is next last in the (you favorite sport here) liga. Whish to have someone who won’t love you (it does not work with me, as I wish to have sex with Madonna or Hugh Grant, but I’m sure they would if they knew me).

To be a great writer, you have to be a faker. Do you remember my post about liars? This one is the opposite of its. You would create a liars routine (WordPress’ associate  Plinky is an alternative, why to tell always the truth?). This will sure give you outstanding writing ideas.

Forget it that the best writers are the ones who dominate the litterature and language fields. No! Some writer said they are just as chamberlains: they know what to do, but will never be able to!.

Stiod sharing – education program instead of welfare

Now, the authorities are going to force those who have been enemployed for the third time to study.

That is pretty intersting not for the teaching — I doubt
Ulack of knowlegde is the biggest problem in this spefific case. Many have already complained of the project defending it is punishment.

Supposing it is, I wonder when we will see a “punishment” school to be built for corrupt politians and many other shameless groups who won’t need the social insurance money…..

Popcorn filter

As I offered Husband to be a collaborator to to Stupid Ideas of the Day and he refused I took the freedom to publish his ideas as if they were originally mine .

It happens that husband is the best corn popper at home -  and he uses to do it on the traditional stove with oil and a big sauce pan. Though the popcorns get very big and the most of them pop, there are always unpopped kernels which annoy him.

Then his stiod was just born: a bowl that has holes big enough to sift the spare kernels and hold the tasty big popcorns. This way you will only serve the greatest popcorn without risk to your teeth.

It is just appropriate and does not demand better explaining or does it?

Third Party’s Stiod: Efficient Alarm clock App

The great soul who invented the snooze button might  indeed have wanted to help people. But they just invented a way of making workers and students late.

It is simple: you start hitting the gentle button to stop the weirdest wake up sounds up. And you can turn side, get even more comfortable and sleep again. Then it sounds once more, and you hit the snooze, and you sleep and… on and on till you don’t have enough time to brush your hair or your teeth and rush out.

The Stiod I saw this morning on facebook was an Alarm App that has  the two traditional snooze and off buttons with a little change: The button for turning off is free and the other one costs money (say $0,99)  for snoozing. Cool and upsetting at once! Isn’t it? I wonder who the money goes to, but that is another discussion, maybe to the App ower – Man, a gold pot!

With that, being lazy will cost you a bit more – by the way, to me it cost some taxi rides sometimes and later breakfast at the baker’s.

Publicity for fruits and vegetables

Definitely I won’t say how it can be done since I am not that creative etc etc. My last toilet book was “Publicidade para o público” (Publicity for the public). There a guy is teaching publicity techniques etc. But I am ok in knowing only the basics and that such things exist (I am good in many things, so, I’ll skip this extra skill ::laugh::)

The stiod, though can come to existence with the limitation of a sketch as many others I publish, by the way.

While I am enjoying the morning laziness and deciding if I will vacuum clean or read e-mails, I decided watching Sponge Bob for the time being. These commercial TV channels have a lot of commercials (I guess there comes the name of its). The commercial Ads I saw are much of chewing gums, chips, candies – and clothes, games and toys. I guess that is why I am not willing to eat an apple but would gladly take a glass of strawberry quick as soon as I get up the couch.

Long time I am not a kid – perhaps sadly, though I am ok on my thirties –  and I was strongly suggested by the eating of some sugary cereal or Toddy.

But one thing you can observe there is no advertisement for fruits: Fruits and vegetables have brands as well, just as milk etc. And the brand makes the difference in quality, besides, there might have different benefits and appeals.

Why don’t these brands just make some (quick) ad and dispute or get over the market:

Apples “Small Jungle” – the most juicy you can find.

Ananas (usch) “Tupi Açu” – easy to sculpt your favorite shapes (and happy kids with plastic knives making sweet & acid figures while showing a strong attitude).

Travel through world eating “Interfruits” from far away lands to your fruit basket

I don’t mind you laughing of my lack creativity – but I’ve seen worst (check this). Thing is we complain of world problems, kids who don’t eat, but where are our farms, veggies importers? Why don’t they announce their products?

Ops, I guess I am going to look for some greenery for lunch.

Third Party`s Stiod: Silent beer cans

It was rest time to me and football time to Husband, Eurocup, you know. Despite I am not paying attention to him, a sound denounces:  He opens the beer can. I come to living room, get a sip and we laugh.

Husband thinks it is not fair, that he has the right to open a beer can without denouncing himself and calling the wife’s attention. He decides that the world beer producers should care about Husbands’ privacy. That is why there should be developed beer can openers with a silent mechanism, yet effective.

Despite I think he has that right, I would stick with the stiod of having a beer barrel home

Stiod Sharing: Cell Phone Charging Station

Yesterday I posted a stiod for charger tables in restaurants, bars etc. Today, while surfing around I came to this great thing I have not seen before (published here): a charging station. In a Burger King restaurant in Philippines you can find this:

 A station to charge up your cellphone that has not only the outlets but the chargers so you can plug in your mobile and save your day! Just notice that there are three Nokia chargers and one Samsung, one Sony Ericsson and one Motorola. It seems that the Finish company is bigger out there in the Philippines.

It could be a great thing if mobile companies got inspired and found it as a marketing strategy, making charging totems available in different places in some cities, so their client’s devices would get charged when they were in battery need.

What if this charging stations took solar energy?

Tables with electric outlets

Some years ago I would thank the gods if some place here in São Paulo had wireless connection so I would be able to type everywhere. That is not a big problem nowadays since I can have mobile internet almost where ever I  go. This makes  my text working rather flexible and I can write at any bar, cafe or bookstore. But not always do I remember charging completely the notebook or the mobile and there I go. Sometimes the battery just empties in a sudden. Out of batteries all the time I planned to surf out of home is gone.

That are many places that even offer wireless and that is really good and sometimes those networks are faster than my network provider. But that are places that won’t allow me using any electrical outlets that I find free on their walls. There was this mall with nice decoration etc. and I sat near the wall for a while. Mobile battery just abandoned me and I found this outlet smiling at me. I just plug it and this security guard comes censoring me: “Lady, you cannot use our contact!”

After a while feeling a robber and coming silently home (no battery, no music on the phone, no typing notes… no-thing!). In my quite way I went thinking of this post: Produce tables with inbuilt electrical outlets for clients charging their devices in restaurants, shopping malls etc.

I think that more than allowing us to charge our devices, the tables in this “public” places should offer on their tops some contacts so we can charge our devices while we are consuming, just as an extra service. I would prioritize more a place with this feature than a cheaper one. And that would make it much more convenient than paying a guard to stop me “stealing” their electrical stream.
